Guidance and Counseling Office is a discipline under the ministry of health that concerns with prevention (guiding-skills & knowledge) and treatment (counselling) measures on how to deal with life challenges positively or understand & cope with feelings, thoughts, emotions alongside life challenges and make an informed decision.
GUIDING: it is giving knowledge and skills to trainees, Trainers & community at large as the prevention measures to face future challenges.
COUNSELLING: it is a way of relating & responding to a person so that the person is helped to explore his/ her thoughts, feelings & behaviour so as to reach a clear understanding & cope effectively & make appropriate decision.
- All the results of human activities comes from the mind thus it depends on how someone responds and the level of exposure/understanding.
